We purchased this keyboard to go with our Logitech Wireless Performance Mouse MX for PC and Mac and replace our older corded ergonomic keyboard. The slight curve design is a great compromise between standard keyboards and ergonomic keyboards. It feels comfortable and natural to me, and I ve been typing on ergonomic keyboards for years. It also works well for my wife, who is more used to using standard and laptop keyboards.
Beyond comfort, there are a few neat things that stand out for me with this keyboard:
1. The Unifying Receiver is tiny and convenient. I remember the first mouse/keyboard combo I bought from Logitech, years ago, had a semi-bulky receiver that took up valuable desk space (along with the charging station for the mouse, which has of course now been replaced with a simple USB charging cable). Instead, the Unifying Receiver is tiny, barely sticking out of the USB port, and it can handle up to 6 Logitech devices. Note: If you ve already set up another device with its Unifying Receiver, you ll need to run the Unifying Software to tell it to recognize a new device.
2. The keyboard is extremely customizable, from keyboard height (there are two stand options, 4 degrees and 8 degrees) to programmable keys. You can turn off things like Num Lock, Scroll Lock, Insert, and the Windows key, and you can modify every function key as well as all the extra media-type keys (music, pictures, media center, etc.)
All in all, this is the best keyboard Logitech has come up with yet. It s comfortable, convenient, and customizable, which are really the only things you need when looking for a keyboard.
