I need digital only, no analog. But, I need high resolution for a big monitor. Some older DVI-D KVM switches do not work at 1920x1200 resolution. This one does. It is reliable and robust.

I have now had the 2-port version (GCS1102) for 3 days.
While I did not pick this product up through Amazon I will review here since I frequently check Amazon for reviews.
The main reason I bought this device is that it claims to be capable of handling both Analog and Digital video signals.
I can now say that those claims are accurate. As it has been stated here already, the device can handle analog signals but NOT with the cables that are provided. The video cables provided are DVI-D (Digital only)
I have hooked this up using additionally purchased DVI-I cables and have manged to get my display (which has dual DVI-I ports) to display either an analog or a digital signal.
For the analog signal I used an additional VGA to DVI-I adapter at the computer which had a VGA port. Even though the adapter was DVI-I on one side, the only pins that are in use are the ones for analog (as seen on a DVI-A cable)
I have also used this device with DVI-I cable between monitor and KVM and DVI-A to VGA cable between KVM and computer. This worked as well.
The stock video cables come with 2 extra attached wires (Single USB and a special cable capable of holding both audio-in[MIC] and audio-out [Speaker]).
If you use separate DVI-I cables you can still use the USB and audio cables on the stock video cables or just purchase and use separate cables as necessary. This device does not seem to use any proprietary connections.
Switching focus on this device works great using panel buttons or hotkeys.
I don t plan on using the extra USB hub so I won t make any comments regarding it s usage.
While I do have the speaker and mic cords plugged into the KVM, I have not tested them.
I d certainly buy another one of these if needed.

I purchased this in the morning and by lunch it was working great. The two Windows 7 machines took off in one try. The XP machine had to reboot twice, but now everything is great. One note, the speakers only work if the green USB light is active. That was a waste of 15 minutes of trouble shooting. Other than that, which I didn t see written anywhere, this tool is AWESOME!
