Submited By: OnDGo on 04/11/2010 The cable has a solid build and works very well. The stickers included for labeling the ends of the cable are of limited use. The fact that the cable is flat can be a bit of a challenge when placing the attached peripherals, but overall this is a very nice product.

Submited By: Silverfox on 05/17/2010 The LaCie flat orange, 400 to 800 Firewire cable worked great, and as advertised, to transfer data from one Mac to another Mac. It is an inexpensive quality piece of wirework. No adapter necessary. I highly recommend it.

Submited By: G. McDowell on 05/19/2010 I recently upgraded my 400 firewire iMac to a new quad core i7 iMac which has only one 800 firewire port. I needed this to connect the older iMac to the shiny new one for file transfers and to use on devices that have only a 400 firewire port. It is very convenient to use and I have happily used LaCie products for years. I especially like the fact that all their variations of cables come in their own color (this 400 to 800 one is orange) so if you had multiple flavors you could easily tell them apart. (I wish my television/cable box/DVD player came with differently colored cables - in fact I wish everything came with its own unique color plug or cable so I wouldn t have to constantly tug on the plug to unscramble the spaghetti of cables.) This cable is very solid and well made so I expect years of service from it. Great price too.
