If I recall correctly, I bought this clock last year, having bought it as a Christmas present for myself
On the very first day I got it, the Atomic Clock feature didn t work, and couldn t be MADE to work either, even after leaving it out on my porch all day.
I have a $15 travel alarm clock that can it s atomic signal from inside a refrigerator.
But I decided to overlook it. Why? Honestly, I don t why I kept it.
As time went on it became worse and worse. Eventually it reached the point where it was far easier to tune in a channel that played static 24/7, than to tune in the channel I REALLY wanted to listen to, which was a Sirius Satellite FM Modulation channel. And this was one of the old sets that puts out too much power. Know what else? there was only one room and one hallway between the two items. Grand total of about 35 feet, and this piece of... stuff, can t pull in one lousy signal.
But today it DID give me a fine sense of pleasure as I beat it to death with my cane and then mailed it Sangean.
Atomic clock don t work...
Radio don t work...
Even the alarms seem to have a mind of their own.
Beating and smashing to pieces with a brass headed cane? Now THAT works, and it s the most happinedd this radio ever bought me.
Pros: Makes a GREAT Pinata
Cons: Makes a lousy radio.
