As a professor, I make presentations on a regular basis. I used to have a Targus and it was a good little workhorse--nothing fancy, but it did the job. I bought the SIIG 2.4GHz Wireless Presenter without reading any reviews and then paid the price. It "worked" for about a month before the lone battery died. The range was very poor and it was a constant nuisance having to work my way back toward the podium. Having only one battery is a very poor design, since there is not enough power to keep the thing working for very long, especially if you use the laser pointer frequently or happen to leave the power button on. The face plate was also very stiff and not very ergonomically designed. Normally at this point I would replace the battery, but in this case, I m going to replace the mouse entirely and move up to another product, like a Logitec, based on the reviews I ve read.
