I first used this hair dryer in a hotel and fell in love. This little dynamo moves a LOT of air. However, its heat output is considerably less than many dryers, especially the "salon" type sold in most stores (those with the long snouts). For my thin hair, though, the wind is much more desirable than the warmth- very hot temps fry my hair.
The convenience of the wall mount (i.e. avoiding cord tangles, counter space and/or having to fish a dryer out from a crowded bathroom cabinet)is very gratifying. The night light is surprisingly bright for nighttime trips to the bathroom: easily bright enough to see without turning on the blazing bathroom lights, but hardly noticeable during the day.
One caveat: the dryer is fairly noisy; if quiet is a major concern, you may want to search elsewhere.
The loss of one star is due to my first one of these dryers failing after only 6 months. The heating element all but died, putting out only barely lukewarm air. I m betting on the supposition that this was a fluke; I can t imagine hotels stocking dryers with a high failure rate in hundreds of rooms...
It s a testament to my attachment to this unit that I m willing to take a risk on a unit that failed.
