Submited By: MiRSD on 06/20/2010 I ve looked around for about a month, trying to find a nice daily travel bag for the iPad and accessories. I must have tried 30-40 different products in stores (or read about them online), but most had their share of problems. You can get a great case, but it ll cost you 1/3rd of the price of the iPad. You can great one that fits your needs, but is ugly. You can get one that does just about everything.. but is missing an important feature (like a shoulder strap option). Some are too big, some are too small. Some are just poorly made.
My wants were something nice and basic (nylon is fine with me!) that can carry my iPad and all of its accessories without breaking the bank. Fortunately, the one I decided on (the Caselogic VNA214 - Black) was one of the cheaper option that was just about perfect!
It has 4 zipper compartments: Back, Middle, Front and a very-front mini pocket. The Middle/Back are the largest sections (great for a laptop or two) while the front is for smaller objects and has little sleeves for accessories, pens, etc.. The very front is a very, very small pocket which is probably meant for a USB cable or something small (ID card?).
The bag itself is very compact and light - a huge plus! It s also comfortable on the shoulder, even when fully loaded.
So what can I fit into it?
* Apple iPad Tablet (64GB, Wifi + 3G) inside of a Belkin F8N277tt Pleated Sleeve for iPad - Black (middle pocket)
* A-frame for Ipad and Sony DRBT50 Stereo Bluetooth Headset in the back pocket
* Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit - iPad accessory kit - Apple iPad , Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging) , 4 AA batteries and USB cables in the front compartment
* Voodoo Ride VR7007 JAKD Microfiber, 2-Pack in the very front pocket
This lets me carry around a complete iPad setup (iPad, stand, keyboard, big headphones and all the accessories I need inside of a small bag. While I would like it just a bit larger (so I can rearrange it a bit), this works great.
The inside is a blue color padding - this is both good and bad (bad in that it s not as stylish as black would be, but good in that anything in there can be easily seen as it stands out against the blue whereas it would fade in with the black).
The back and middle compartments are "double zippers", the 2 front ones are single-zippers. Unfortunately they re "solid" zippers (no holes on the end to put a lock through)
Bag seems very well made and has nice padding. Comfortable and light, somewhat stylish and cheap - everything I could have asked for!
